Volunteer with Kids Meals on Saturday, February 3rd!

Heritage Group will be volunteering with Kids' Meals on Wednesday, January 10th.  We're excited to also offer a Saturday date to allow more Evening Group and Heritage members to volunteer together as well. 

What is Kids' Meals?
The mission of Kids’ Meals is to end childhood hunger in Houston by delivering free healthy meals to approximately 7,400 preschool-aged children per day who face food insecurity. 

What will we do?
Volunteers will be assigned to roles either in the Kids' Meals kitchen or in the packing rooms.  Kitchen volunteers will work to make sandwiches and prepare snacks, while volunteers in the packing rooms will pack the meal items into bags to be delivered. 

Where do we meet?
Parking is limited and carpooling is encouraged.  If you would like to carpool, please plan to meet at the Clubhouse at 8:30am.  If you would like to arrive on your own, we will meet at 330 Garden Oaks, Houston, TX 77018 by 9am.

What do I wear?
All volunteers must wear closed-toed shoes and shirts with sleeves (no tank tops). Volunteers that work in the kitchen must have their hair covered.  Please bring a hat with you or wear a hair net provided by Kids Meals.  A Kids' Meals hat may be purchased for $25 on site. 

Can I bring a friend?
Yes! Please ask your guest to register individually so we may send them the required registration information.  

Registration closes on February 1st as we need to report the number of volunteers to Kids Meals and email you information to create a required profile with Kids Meals.
